Is it auto or stick? If its manual, just make sure you are in the right gear for the speed and incline, dont go at a slow speed in a high gear and put alot more stress on the drivetrain. As long as you dont put that kind of load on the transmission you should be fine.
I only know for the type-s(i own one) but i think the base should be the same if its manual but keep it around 3,000-3,500rpm or above jsut to be safe, the engine dosent make alot of torque lower then that and if you are going up a good angled gradiant with some weight in the car (2-3 other people) your going to want to make sure you are in the right gear.
for the auto, i dont think you need to do anything, jsut step on the gas and go. no need to worry about anything. your car should be fine, unless you havent even broken it in yet, if thats the case dont take the car on the trip

Never been to the grand canyon, enjoy your trip.
If its a steep hill the only thing you should have to worry about is your engine's temp. A steep hill for a prolonged amount of time can cause a car to run hotter because the water inside the engine is now being pulled away from the radiator by gravity. These newer cars might not have this problem. Also, I am sure your car is equipped with some kind of traction control so hill climbing shouldn't be a problem, just remember to use low gear. Oh and once you start climbing don't stop on a steep hill, it's harder for the car to start moving again on a hill, especially on dirt. If you're going off road your might want to pack some JV weld and some metal strips just in case you hit a rock and tear a hold in the oil pan or gas tank.

Why would not you be waiting to? that's a sparkling automobile, and as long as that's routinely sound, then that's going to be fantastic! in simple terms be certain you have acceptable inflated tires (and a spare) and that your fluid ranges are splendid. that's often a solid concept to have a blanket, first help kit, a snack, and a few eating water on your automobile in simple terms in case.

As long as you use the appropriate gears going up hills and down them, you should be fine.
