Isn't it Amazing how the smallest thing can change everything.
Cause and effect! The world could be so different! The probability of me writing this now is so unlikely!

battle of hastings. rather than fight the norwegians then dash south, exhausted, to fight the normans, i would have the saxons ready and waiting, with an ensuing victory. england would have repelled the normans, allied with the scandinavians and forged an egalitarian pan-north sea empire. feudalism would never take root, the inherent saxon humanist principles of emancipation, free will and individual freedom would have been accelerated, and the great teutonic north would have repelled the influences of rome whilst incorporating the good elements of christianity. they would have probably "discovered" the americas in the 12th or 13th century and colonized in a non-exploitative manner, well in advance of the spaniards. amazing how the world would be so different.

In theory if something small were to happen like....
Had the driver for Franz Ferdinand turned at the right street instead of getting lost, they would've missed the shooter who happened to be in the right place. He wouldn't have died, and they would've avoided WWI, and as a result no "injustices" would have been committed that would've resulted in WW2, and subsiquently the Cold War. Of course we humans by nature tend to be violent, had the driver turned correctly, I am sure we would've found some other reason to go to war.

like one of the other answers, I think that most things happen for a reason, I mean...when you think about it, how long do you actually think about it? long enough to decide every body's future and destiny/ or just long enough to to resolve whatever it is that you want to resolve here and now?? mostly the latter, so now think about what I've just written, we don't know yet if somebody in the future reads this that it could change the way that they think and make decisions. I hope you got the gist of what I meant, anyway, I could dealve deeper, but I'd be here all night.

I'd be tempted to say WW2 and the Holocaust, but actually nothing. For every bad event that happens, some good comes out of it, and if you take away all the bad things that happen throughout history, another would take its place.

1.) If FDR hadn't died the VietNam war might not have been fought. He was against returning colonies to the Europeans after WW II.
2.) The invention of the car.

if i could change one thing it would be the very existance of the evil twisted "being"that goes under several names.satan or devil being the most common. If you think he is just a figment of our imagination, you need a wake up call.its a good job he can only be in one place at one time, but his time is short and he knows it to.sorry to go on folks but i,hit a raw nervethere!

I would remove the cause that produced the rising up of the Americans to become independant from the UK. Just to see if this would have happened anyway later on.
