Star Wars - The Millenium Falcon because it's so fast and has a lot of guns.

If the two civilizations bumped into each other and declared war, then Star Wars would clearly win. They have more ships, bigger ships and a better prepared military. Not to mention their economy is at least 10 times bigger than the Star Trek economy. For every ship Star Trek knocked out Star Wars could produce 2 more.

Now, what if we line up equal tonnage ships in a dual? That would mean the last Enterprise version vs. a Nebulon B Frigate or a couple of Carrack class cruisers. How about a Borg Cube vs. an Imperial Star Destroyer.

In my opinion, both sides would take damage. I think what it would come down to is shields. Let's assume the shields could deflect an equal amount of fire power. Star Wars ships can deal out a lot more damage than Trek ships can, therefore, the SW ships win. Frankly, I think Star Wars shields are better anyway.

I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and put it this way Star Trek would win. But it would probably win out of only have the one option left. See Star Wars has the fighters, the battle stations the guns and all that stuff, but Star Trek has Genesis which is small enough to be able to fit on any and every ship the in the Star Trek universe this would kill ever living thing on the planet. And I know the death star can destroy a planet but that take time to move that weapon.

I would say Star Wars, simply because in the Star Wars universe the types and sizes of the warships are so much more massive than in the Star Trek universe.

A typical Super Star Destroyer from Star Wars could range from 8 km to almost 20 km long. That's HUGE!

Also, factor in battle stations like the Death Star, and clone and droid armies, and I'd say that the Star Wars universe could easily take out anything that the Star Trek universe could produce.

In terms of sheer power: the death star (star wars) that can destroy whole planets. The closest thing in a "star trek" series is a Nova bomb from the Andromeda Ascendant (which most trekkies don't really see as a part of the Star Trek series). In the same series, the Magog's world ship that can fire "point singularities" i.e., black holes through other ships.

In Star Trek, there is the Nemesis weapon (not to be confused with the Star Trek Movie Nemesis with the New Generation crew) that can regenerate a planet. Turns out better as a weapon than a terraforming tool, but that was unintended.

There is a Zindy weapon in the Enterprise series, but it gets destroyed by Archer and it is never heard of in "subsequent" series.

In terms of manoeuverability, Star Trek.

The Milleneum Falcon can sometimes go faster than the speed of light. In Star Trek, warp speeds are routine and the StarShip class remain very maneouverable even at warp speed. Star Wars have very few true war ships and very few of those are seen battling while going faster than light.

Gotta go with Star Wars...those super star destroyers simply dwarf anything the Federation has, or any of the Star Trek alien species.

Edit: Romulan warbirds? No way! They're bigger than the Enterprise D but they're still gnats compared to a super star destroyer. Yeah, a fleet of them might take out a destroyer or two...but the Empire's got a fleet of them.

Star Wars. They got the Death Star and other bigger ships, Super Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari Battle Cruiser...

I hate to mention this, but I think vessels from Star trek are weak compared to Star Wars vessels. Has anyone ever watched when there was a battle in Star trek DS9.

Those galaxy class battleships would easily tear apart if they face a Dominion battle cruiser.

Well to be honest, I would think that Star Trek would win agaist Star wars. There is no mention of Anti-matter in Star wars, and how they enter hyperspace is kinda unknown, but with Star Trek, I think a few grams of Anti-matter agaist a fleet of death stars & Super star destroyers could destroy em.

At the moment, In star trek, whenever they have a warp core breach, the intial explosion is way to weak. If it would to explode, it could destroy a planet... (It is proven in a kirk episode where they have to destroy a planet by using anti-matter)

Though I wouldn't mind seeing a mon-calamari cruiser up against a Borg cube.

This isn't a fair comparison. The Empire and the Old Republic before it has had tens of thousands of years to develop their technology. On the other hand, the United Federation of Planets has existed for only 200 years.

Even if the Imperial ships completely outgun the Federation ships, I wouldn't be surprised if Starfleet come up with some spatial anomaly to destroy them.

Star Wars... they have all the individual jedi ships, the force.. it would definately be an unfair advantage.. even though I'm more of a Trekie...
