by Bruce P Hayden and this site provides library locations where it is available here in the metro area. This would be a good source for climatological information it would seem. This is another excellent site for climo data http://www.worldclimate.com/cgi-bin/grid.pl?gr=N38W077

Finally, I believe this site http://www.ncgc.nrcs.usda.gov/products/datasets/climate/data/precipitation-state/index.html should get you to the annual precip maps for VA for the 04 -06. Good luck.

Virginia's a very big place. You'd have to narrow it down to a city and look it up
