Did your Pastor say it or are you using him to get in a dig at Liberals? No man of God would ever say that Jesus hates anybody.

Your pastor must be yet ANOTHER one o' those lovin' CHRISTIANISTS - a zealot with a political agenda. Seriously, will you continue to patronize a pastor who refuses to recognize all the liberal Christians in this country and beyond?

Such a mindset mirrors those of extremist Muslim, Jewish, or Hindu leaders who mine their holy texts to enflame one set of adherents against another - if one sect against another within their own belief system.

All the so-called sacred texts were written by humans. They contain helpful ways to order one's journey - but they also contain passages that would seem to encourage racism, war, ethnic cleansing and genocide against "others", infidels, etc.

What do you think might be the response if your pastor were to address a liberal Christian with this assertion? Well, I doubt if he would DO that...

Good fortune.

Jesus was a revolutionary. You're Pastor is an obsequious, mealy-mouthed nobody.

i think your Pastor is generalizing.

maybe he meant the atheists who are trying to do away with any hint of God anywhere. or maybe in his view, if you're not actively trying to convert people to your church (instead of letting others make their own choice), you're not religious. i know most people i run across have the opinion, believe how you want, it's not my business.

there are plenty of religious people who are liberals.

Most liberals are Christians so I would say your pastor has another agenda.

Uh...no. I consider myself fairly liberal and Jesus and I get along just fine. Having liberal views and believing in God are not mutually exclusive.

No. But blatant generalizations based on hate are incompatible with the teaching of Jesus.

You pastor should be reprimanded for saying such a horrible lie.

My mother and father were both Liberals, as were all of my grandparents and great-grandparents, so his lie hits home and he really should lose his license to preach.

Why let your mind get manipulated by that?
Religion is not supposed to mingle with government.
Their tax-exempt status is at risk now.
