We study hard to get the best jobs, we work hard to earn much money and sometimes this implies sacrifices, or seperation from people we love or things we'd really like but can't help us make a living. And we all know we're going to die.Is all this worth it?

A baby in the womb of his mother could theoretically ask himself similar questions.
What is the purpose for me of growing feet and arms if they are of no use here? What is the purpose of having lungs in this aquatic medium if I can't breathe air? What is the purpose of having eyes if I can't see?
Besides I will soon die to this world- the womb world- and there will be nothing left behind.
Death is mistakenly considered as non-existence. It is in fact a word that means change from one type of existence to another. It is going from one dimension into a higher dimension of existence.
We were born to this world dying to the "womb world". We must die to the physical world to be born to the spiritual world to which we belong. Man's reality is spiritual not physical.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience... We are spiritual beings having a human experience". Theilhard de Chardin.

You don't need to work so hard.
Many people live simple lives, where money is not the most
important thing.
They have their basic needs satisfied and spend their time
helping other people and with the people they love.
Because hapiness is a state of being that anyone can reach
with or without money. If one day you reach this you'll know that
everything is worth.
Would you think that it is worth if you lived forever?
Do you think that people would give the same value to life if they
knew it was something they would never lose?
Death makes us learn that we have to grow, that we have to
change and that the best pleasures we have in life are not
enjoying and having fun, but all the experiences that we had and
all the wonderful people that we had a chance to meet.

The best thing I can say is know thyself, and in knowing what makes you happy specifically, then the work and everything to maintain it becomes worth it. The worst is when you let yourself get sidetracked or get onto one-track thinking and the people you care about go to the wayside, or become secondary. My whole goal in life at this point is to be happy with the people I hold dear, and the work, good job, whatever, really has nothing to do with that, other than it allows us to spend more time together in the long run. But in the meantime, the time I get to spend with my family is the best, I truly believe it is the whole point behind life, to have fun with those you love while you can.

Probably not. But you've obviously worked yourself up some sort of ladder to afford a computer with internet access (unless you're at a public library). So what did you have to sacrifice? Life is nothing but one sacrifice for another, and eventually, it will lead to something great: death. Is it worth it? I'd like to think so; I mean, when you die, you leave something for the people close to you (if not monetary then spiritually), and that's gotta count for something. I buy stuff because it helps me live easier. You know, like food. And clothing. And miscellaneous energy drinks. We don't NEED to buy this stuff; it just makes things easier. Tell you what: when you convince everybody on Earth that they don't need material goods to be happy, THEN I'll join your cause. Until then, keep on keepin' on.

All in the name of progress and yet we have become by far much more inhumane than ever before. Obtaining material goods is mans obsession. The almighty buck is what makes the world turn and that drive for the almighty buck will eventually destroy us all.

We have been very well indoctinated, for those who cannot accept indoctrination we are classified as misfits, loosers and that we refuse to conform to societies demand that we all conform or else, obstacles are obviously placed along the way to ensure that you conform, rent, buy, sell or use a facillity right down to getting a permit to pitch a tent.

Each person has to decide that for himself. The vast majority will say Yes. Sure life is going to end, and everything that you worked for will go to someone else. That, in no way means it's not worth working for.
First of all. it makes life much more pleasurable to be able to afford some of the comforts of life. There is no pleasure in poverty.
Another reason to work toward having more than the minimum is to leave something to those who mean much to us. It makes the present more enjoyable knowing those we leave behind will not be left in poverty.

Death is inevitable for all of us. Hard work is good for the soul, but just like everything it has to be in moderation. Make time for the other good things of life as well. Spend time with your loved ones. Have fun with the things you accumulate. Make time for spiritual development. Be well rounded. Make your life the best it can be.

Yeah, but why not die with some sort of peace and happiness. Sacrifice is just a part of life, so is living. So, while we are here on this earth, we might as well live life to the fullest.

Well, for most of us, death is a long way off. So why not put forth the effort to insure that you have a fulfilling life for the time that you're still alive?

Would you rather just sit around depressed and miserable waiting to die?
