Fabulous! Another fashionista who wants to hit the ground running in the fashion business. A degree in Economics is a great start as business in general has a great deal to do with your success. You should also study sewing (usually you can do this locally with the 4-H club). You should also put together a portfolio of original designs you created. If you're able to actually make your designs, you should do a few and have them in a dry-cleaner bag for a moment's notice!

If you just want to work on the business side of fashion, a great place to start is in retail in management. Try a more specialized store that's less of a department store and more of just fashion. You should also try to plan a trip to New York City and research fashion tours. These are also available in Paris, London, and Milan.

Best of luck! Can't wait to see your styles!

English. You will need to be able to write well to offer proposals and communicate with others.
