Absolutely. And you should tell her this soon. Just try to be kind in how you phrase it, pregnancy tends to make our hormones go nuts. Just let her know you want to be there for her to help her through it. I think some men might become un-attracted to their wife (at least for a period of time) after watching that. It's tramatic but a true blessing. Best of luck!

My advice would be just to do that and not tell it to her!! Labor is a very painful experience that any woman whom has given birth knows about !!! She's gonna need all the support she can get !!! Do as much for her as you can during the labor process like getting ice, rubbing her back, legs , whatever she wants. It will take your mind off it !!

My husband said the same thing about not being able to bear it. He did quite well once he got off the phone. I was in hard labor by then and he would rub my back (where I had all my labor pains). We all shared stories to take my mind off the pain. I had a room full of people... He was terrific ! I'm sure you will be too !!

If you can't bear to witness it, don't look. It's that simple. If you don't want to be in the room at all why?? You should support your wife, after all, you made this kid together...why should she suffer alone?? You would be missing out on something that is beyond any description. I have had three children but that was nothing compared to watching the birth of my granddaughter. It is when I finally understood what my husband meant when he said it's a miracle.

Why say anything at all, just show your support and stay at the head rest, is this your first child? If so, she is probably nervous and scared too, so don't give her something else to worry about just support her and try to bare it, birth is a beautiful thing maybe when your in the room you will feel different, things change when it's your child! My hubby thought he could never change a diaper now he's a pro.

I don't know any wife that would be upset by it. For me if I felt that I couldn't handle seeing the baby come out, she would have understood if I wanted to wait outside of the delivery room.

I was in the room for the births of all 3 of my kids, and to me it is an expirience that I'll never forget.

This is okay ... If you cannot handle it then be honest and tell her but you need to be in the room with her and support her by holding her hand and being there for her! This is normal and okay. Trust me she would not want you fainting in the delivery room.

That's exactly what I did. The whole child bearing birthing process grossed me out. The vagina is supposed to be fun, I didn't want to see a kid coming out of there.

Yes it is better to be up closer to your wife then be down on the south pole and faint. Just let her know you want to be there for her and don't want to miss out on anything.

You should talk to your wife, chances are that she will want you there to support her, but couldn't care less where you are looking. I was grateful that my husband was there to hold my hand and share the experience with me.
