Personally I think you subconsciously knew something wasn't right and your brain is not one to let things lay dormant. While I don't believe the dream itself was a gift from God I do believe the mechanism of dreams is. My dreams never make sense to me so they would be hard to explain but I think some people have a gift of dreams..ones that actually mean something. Its even written in the Bible that Daniel fell into deep sleeps and dreamt about the end times...that tells you how powerful dreams are right there.

Life is one big coincidence. Every little thing we do affects somebody somewhere. Dreams can come true or they may not. There is no evidence that dreams mean anything...psychologists have many theories from dreams being a way of garbage collecting to dreams being a part of a collective unconscience. It could be a lot of time spent searching for something with no solid answer. Do you want to spend more time analyzing your dreams, or wouldn't you rather spend more time analyzing your life and making it a happier one to live?

Well, it isn't ironic, its coincidental....

Either way I believe that our dreams sometimes do reflect the future. I can't describe it, but I've had many dreams where I'll be in a place I've never been, then shortly after the dream, I'll actually go to that place and remember I had dreamed about it. Weird stuff. I think there's more in the human subconcious than we know. The brain, though studied immensely, is still a relative mystery.
