You're lucky you were not fired. At my place of work, only "corporate" screensavers and wallpaper can be used. People have been caught using porn or browsing for porn on the internet (on corporate computers). They were warned of the consequences; they persisted, and they were fired.

Neither. I do not believe for a moment that your assertion is real.
If in fact you actually have such a screen saver -- then it is well within the rights of your employer to demand its removal, as it will offend some people.
I can't believe any thinking person would have any such thing however. I hold the terminal degree in my field and an excellent position, with tenure. I can't even imagine the idea occurring to me, and my office is private.
So, why exactly are you trying to stir the pot here?

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the work place is not the place for you to express your taste in art. While at work, you are a member of a team whose sole focus should be the work you are hired to do, not what kind of artistic screen saver you like the most. If something of yours is offending someone else, it is your boss' job to ensure that everyone is comfortable in the work place in order for every work to be efficient. My advice to you is to save the screen saver for your home PC, and take it off of your work PC.

such explicit image is definitely offensive to some people and should not be displayed publicly. ur boss is kind enough to ask u remove it. But how can u be homophobic and blatantly display ur admiration for cocks at work? Are u a lady?

Just take the screen saver off. That sounds gross by the way.

A few years ago when I was struggling with my sexuality I hated myself, made fun of gays and basically made an azz of myself.
Finally I accepted myself as a gay man and my outlook changed. I became a better person and treated gay people with respect.
Once you've come to grips with your suppressed homosexuality...you also will feel better about yourself.
Good luck.

it's wrong to put up such a picture in the work place. It actually is a form of sexual harrassment! That's if it offends viewers that were not meant to view it. It may lead to an ugly lawsuit against the company.
