I think it does. Take a look at where we use, or more importantly don't use, capital letters.

The word "human" doesn't require a capital letter, but individual countries do, "England, Ireland, America, Iraq" etc etc.

The words "brother, sister, mother, father, uncle, aunt" don't require a capital letter, but individual names do; "Peter, Paul, Shirly, Billybob".

Why do we use capital letters to signify and magnify the unimportant things, such as individuals, and not the important things, such as entire species?

It just signifies things that someone thinks are important I guess...I capitalize Moon just because it's an inside joke with a friend of mine, but does that mean anything to anyone else? Not really.....

I've never been a fan of grammar, are you amused yet?

;)

I believe that that is not the problem. The problem is ignorance. Because most people say well i think that "those mexicans should go back where they came from" well most people think our American troops should come back where they came from but we still send them to different places to get killed for our freedom of course don't use that card on me. I know what it take to get freedom. It takes sacrafices. But still most of our soilders are on death sentences for just being a certain age. The name of countries are important as well as individual names Because if it wasn't then everyone would be the same. yes, i do know that you might have the same name as some one else because you can only put so many letters together and have it still be able to be pronounced. But you Aunt Shirly is important. Those are just English rules and not an ethic thing. So that will be kind of hard to fight. Like Homo sapien is capitalized because it is a specific name. Human really means everyone organism with the ability to walk upright, and have higher reasoning compacities. That is what it is but you seem like a nice person we would get along great.

because of the fact, in "computing device words," it is seen as YELLING AT a individual!! you're "seen" as being disenchanted, indignant, p-o'ed, and so on. once you write in all caps. it is why it is seen rude and is frowned upon on line. And no, writing in small letters isn't meek or submissive. you may write a assertion that comes for the time of as knowledgeable and worth of analyzing. Writing in all caps is greater of a deterrent because of the fact human beings does no longer opt to study somebody's indignant comments. Because if we capitalized all non specific words, what would be the point in using lower case letters? The words brother, sister, mother.... are vague. They could mean anyone's brother, sister, mother... But if I say Sara's brother, that implies that I am talking about a specific person's brother.

It's not that things aren't important, they just refer to something non specific.

Great point. It just shows the state of things at this point in time. We capitalize George Bush but not the troops that are dying for his failed policies.
Also, people who always write in all caps are another thing wrong with the world...STOP SHOUTING

I think its funny that you question capital letters, yet you don't even capitalize your own name under your avatar.
