I would love to see Mike Martz be head coach of the Cowboys. He developed Bulger into a great QB, and has done greatness with Detroits offense. I think Dallas needs to open up the offense more and utilize their weapons and Martz has proven he likes to air it out. He can put up big points on the board and I think he would develop Romo into an effective QB. I dont want to see Dallas hire a College coach, as they usually are not successful. Your thoughts

The fact that Bill Parcells is staying around as an adviser says to me that they may pick up a college coach like Bob Stoops! I think going with someone with experience like a Martz would be our best bet! If we want a Super Bowl team, we have to go with experience at this point!

While the Cowboys have more weapons on the Offensive side of the ball I doubt very much that Jerry Jones will go after Mike Martz. Martz final year with the Rams still has to raise questions regarding his health and ability to handle the pressure of being a NFL Head Coach.

Instead I would look for Jerry to hire a defensive coach or a different experienced ex head coach. A couple of names that pop into my head would include Lovie Smith (turned around a franchise that were consistant losers into consistant winners), Dennise Gree (don't know why, just because), or Jim Mora Sr. (lead the Colts to winning seasons).

Thats an interesting idea, I hadnt thought of Martz. I dont think it will happen though, Jones was said to have met with Wade Phillips last night to talk about the job. I dont think we will see the next coach for a couple of weeks though. I think Jones like Charlie Weis from Notre dame or Bob Stoops from Oklahoma.

Martz would be a good choice for the Cowboys and he would be good in developing Romo too. He did a great job with Bulger even benching former MVP Warner to keep him playing. Yeah good choice, good question.

Dallas needs a coach that can improve their defense. Their offense is powerful enough. But the defense played awfully at the end of the season. They let the Detroit Lions score over 30 points against them, at home!! Their offense is fine.

i might want to say so. mike shanahan is an truly good coach and is really strong with operating backs.(merely seem on the adult males hes had) with barber and jones he can make both of them a stress contained in the league. wade phillips merely feels like he has no concept a thanks to coach.
