You can't actually "make" anyone change their name back, but you can request it during the divorce. The Judge makes the final decision and personally, I think it sucks (ofcourse this is coming from a 2nd wife's pov) :) Good luck!

dont think so i am divorced but i still use my married name (its the same last name our three kids have) i do not intend on changing it until/if i get remarried. i have had the last name since 1993 - it is a pain in the *** to change everything back to your maiden name anyway.

No, in the state of California a woman has a right to retain her former husbands name.

You can't make her take it back you can however ask the court during the proceedings that she take back her maiden name.

No, he won't be able to. a pal of mine went by ability of this with the GF no longer liking it yet my pal recommended her it become her criminal call so there is not any "giving it lower back" in touch. also, in the experience that your daughter remains in college, spare her the priority that encompasses a mom with a distinct very last call in case you may.
