When you say "their ages", are you saying that all of their ages combined add to 91 (in which case, Dave+ Dan + Sara =91), or, are you saying that Dan+Sara=91?) Either way, you have 3 equations and 3 unknowns. Just use substitution to determine each of their ages...

daves age is 3 times dans age. dan is 4 years oldr than sara and their ages add up to 91 how old is sara?
Choose d to be Dan's age. Then 3d is Dave's age, and d-4 is Sara's age since he is 4 years older than she is.
Now just add these up: d + 3d + d - 4 = 91
That would be 5d - 4 = 91 and you can easily find what d is, then use that to get Sara's age.
