CounterStrike nightvision problems?

Question

the nightvision goggles in my counterstrike game only apear as a red cross as if they havent been turned on
when i type +nvgadjust into the console it just comes up unknown command

i have bought them -.-

u have to buy the night vision glasses in the buy menu. It costs $500 in the game.

if by some chance u havent bought them.... buy them and if further problems consist ur computer might have screwy settings or have u just pressed n to activate them????
