I just started taking Calculus I- got an A in Precalculus, and I'm just curious about this idea of Precalculus being more difficult than Calculus. My Precalculus teacher said Calculus is easier, but I'd like to get some other opinions.

As a teacher, precalculus is harder to teach than is calculus. This is partly because of the new concepts that are introduced at the pre level. Calculus just expands on these concepts. Not that much new stuff.

Actually if you have base on Precalculus then it must be easy with calculus I. What making difficult in calculus is determine the problem and how to solve it with efficient. Others said that difficult in calculus because they give up before they try to solve the problem.

Where I am that is an outright LIE. My AB Calculus class (Calculus I equivalent) is the hardest class I've ever taken, not to mention precal, which was muuuuuuuch easier.

Precal is only "harder" because most of the students in there have to take at least that one math class to get their degree and most people arent math oriented.
