Why itunes does not play the uncheck songs?

It should play the songs but not transfer them to the IPOD. Right??

No, I think if you uncheck them, they are removed from your playlist...

There is an option (I forget where it is, as I am at school and cannot open iTunes to check) where if it is selected it doesn't play unchecked songs.

No, if you uncheck them that means you don't want them so it will skip over them.
