i dont think so sometimes pride comes before a fall. fine he offers you the peerage and then few years later he is prosecuted for corruption and selling peerages, guess what your name is on the list. think about all the people who now respect you and hold you on a higher status because of your title.
there is a saying, a thief and his accomplice are exactly alike, in the event that charges are brought aganist him, you will be tarred with the same brush as him.
My self respect and dignity is not worth any ammount of money, i would not take it.

of direction, all former best ministers get peerages ...they used to get Earldoms, yet Maggie Thatcher took a Baronetcy to alter into Baroness Thatcher, so possibly he will take that... he could even get his earlier John significant !

Yeah i would love to be able to lord it up and graze my sheep in the town square also if he made me a lord i could go into the house of lords and cause a riot
