Song from meatloaf, but what exactly is the "that" he is referring to? Any ideas??

That in the song can be interpretted as anything. However in the song it refers to him moving on or cheating. At the very end she says after a while you'll forget everything it was a brief interlude, a mid summers night fling, sooner or later you'll be screwing around and he says he won't do that. He would do anything for love but he won't do that.

I think it was left open so that listeners can apply it to their situation. For example when I listen to that i assume (Interpret) it to be oral sex. Surely another person will think of the things they wont do accept.

"That" is what you want it to be like in that Dr. Pepper commercial, the guy will do anything for the girl except give her his Dr. Pepper.
