If you actually know who he is, take him to small claims court. You may get your money AND avoid becoming the bad guy and going to jail.

What's the reason he wont pay up? It all depends on his reason of not paying. Maybe the league members didn't pay up, so he feels that he got ripped off. If you paid for the league while others didn't, then he should at least give you your money back.
Other than that, just take take the non-payment and be done with him. That's the best thing you can do.

hmmm 1700 dollars is taxable, if you earn it from one source. but since you have earn it from more than 1 or 2 people, that money is really less, just more time you earned it. only a certain amount from each person (the entry fee) you would have to claim against each person. you may not claim the whole amount at one time, It is unlawful unless they have gambling lic. Now that you know it was unlawful (MAYBE), you have a few choices, give the money back to the fantasy football league, or keep it and not claim taxes.

Screw that. It doesn't give you any leverage. Take the license plate off the back of his car. He won't notice it and get pulled over and have to pay a big fine. Then hold his license plate for ransom and make him pay up or he'll have to go to the license branch and get another one.

One thing you could try before doing anything that might get you in trouble is report him. Who sight were you on ( ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, etc) report him to the webmaster. the major ones have your records. If he was not paid by everybody who played and that is his beef, tell him he can refund your entrance fee or your league championship winnings. I would never get in a league with him again unless his reason is excellent. But I doubt it. If that doesnt work take him to small claims court.

If he doesn't pay.
Get him drunk, then take him to a gay bar. Take him to the bathroom, to a stall, put the seat down, rest his head the toilet with his azz up. Then unzip his pants pull them downto his knees. Make some grunting noises and walk out of the stall and say "That was some good ***, he wants you all!"
