I have seen the aquatic plants sold in IKEA and they are the same as in pet shops the problem is IKEA doesn't have staff knowledgeable in what plants will do best in your aquarium's conditions. Until you know your plants its best to visit pets shops and talk to the staff. Cheap plants that die are more expensive that pricy ones that live

Well, I wouldn't put a plant into my fish tank without consulting a Fish/ Pet store. Some plants could make the water bad and etc causing your fish to eventually die.
Remember fish are no different then any other pet you could own. If you bring something around them that they don't like or isn't good for their environment it could either make them sick or kill them. So keep this in-mind, just because the plant needs to be placed under water to survive doesn't mean that its good for your fish's environment .

Hope this helped you out.

The plant sold as aquatics in IKEA are the same as sold in aquarium shops.

In fact some of the plants on sale in aquatic shops are not true aquatics.

IKEA is quite expensive for the species that are usually sold bunched but not bad on anubias & cryptocorynes.

Kinda depends on the plant., it might be toxic to fish.
