I just moved into a large house in the city and lately i've been having dreams that my parents went bankrupt and moved into a small and run down house, during the dream many of my friends make an appearance. Even though these dreams are nothing like my reality is there any meaning behind these dreams?

In part it is a representation of your fear about making such a big change in your life.

Moving into a large home, in the city, is a large investment of money.
It is also a change of place and people.

You are having anxiety about whether you will be able to cope with the changes successfully.

You are also missing your friends from your previous home. Even if the distance isn't much it will change how often you see some of your close friends.

At the same I reccomend looking at how the move has affected the time you spend with your parents and whether you feel guilty for not being there for them as much. You have fears they will need you and you won't be there for them.

There is also some guilt about doing really well and being sucessful -- you need to let yourself appreciate that you have earned where you are today.

Bright blessings

Dreams usually have meanings, whether prophetic or symbolic. Think about what the things in your dream represent to you (how you feel). What does a strange house mean to you? No staircases? Your garden? Boyfriend and best friend kissing? The strange house may represent unfamiliar ground. Perhaps you haven't been in a situation like this before. Your garden could be your relationship with your current boyfriend. They were kissing - they were together before you and he? The main theme seems to be that you were hurt and angry. There's at least two ways to interpret this dream. One, you may feel there's a possibility that they could get back together. Two, could you feel guilty? (Them being together again serves you right.) These are just possibilities for you to consider. The last statement isn't a judgment. Much of the time dreams reflect our feelings rather than what is.

I used to pay attention to my dreams, and their meanings. But now I do not believe that they have any meanings, at all. The other day, I had a weird dreams about cops and robbers, I woke up scared, the reason for the dream .......I was watching cops when I went to sleep. Another dream that I always get is of a lion chasing me. Well I have not seen any lions in my neighborhood, people say that this means that I have enemies pursuing me. Well, tell me, who doesn't have a person or two that doesn't like you for what you have, even if it is a pretty purse. I would not worry about it. It is just a dream.
If your are concern about your parents, just always check on them and make sure that they have all that they need. Be a good son, like I know you are by describing your dream, the care for your parents came out.

To understand a dream, it’s helpful to keep in mind why and how we dream. When we sleep, the body and perception systems are shut down, but the brain remains active. The brain thinks about what has recently been most active during waking hours—experiences, thoughts and feelings accessed recently whether consciously or not. The brain is still active, so it works on this content, but not in a familiar, rational way. During sleep, this material is not related using input from the external real world, but rather by the brain connections already established in the cortex. So the story connectedness isn’t like everyday experience, but rather a strange, circuitous flow from one image to the next. So dreams aren’t magical messages to guide our life, but dream imagery is taken from everyday experiences, thoughts and feelings that matter most to us during our waking life. So it’s a mistake to apply standard symbol definitions, such as Freudian meanings. All you need to do is think about what kind of imagery it is and how it relates to your daily life.

Moving is very stressful, even in the best case. A million details, hardships, worries, expenses. Whether consciously or unconsciously, your brain has been dealing with a lot of this recently. So some of this concerns have remained active in your mind while sleeping, hence the dreams about moving...which connected to your parents instead of your own case.

Yes there is a lot of meaning behind these dreams. Mostly I would say you ate some very spicy food. Spicy Indian food usually does that for me. Sometimes Mexican.
If you're concerned that you're having strange thoughts through dreams, aw don't worry about it. Meanings behind dreams is way over rated. Freud would have you thinking you want a personal relationship with your mother. So who would the sicko be? I think the Dr. himself.
If I were to analize this dream I would say this.....
You are feeling that you passed or are passing your parents success in financial terms, your friends are visiting you because you want them to notice how well you are doing. I would say you're dreaming it because you are not a person who normally flaunts the things he has, so you do it in your dreams. I say kudos to you, for being so successful.

Dreams of Bankruptcy: Feelings of despair or failure; the end of a scheme or relationship; the realization or feelings that the direction has not worked and must be abandoned, whether a marriage, business or direction in life; doing too much and exhausting your reserves, materially or emotionally.

You have something on your mind and may have acted as you think someone else would take as acceptable. Don't worry about this dream, if your family had come to $ problems you could help by being positive and budgeting your self.
