For decades, environmentalism has been the Left's best excuse for increasing government control over our actions in ways both large and small. It's for Mother Earth! It's for the children! It's for the whales! But until now, the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they've trumped up haven't been large enough to give the sinister prize they want most of all: total control of American politics, economic activity, and even individual behavior. With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only global government can tackle such problems. National sovereignty? Democracy? Forget it: global warming has now brought the Left closer to global government, statism, and the eradication of individual rights than it has ever been before.

Why travel that far when sending a picture of Walt Disney's Pluto to the Sun, would help global warming just as much!

Nope. The Sun is 150 million times the size of Pluto. It would be like putting an ice cube into Lake Erie.

Your question makes no sense. PLuto has nothing to do with global warming and it's miniscule with respect to the sun and would not affect it at all. Are you proposing and offering to the sun gods ?

Wouldn't make a dent in the sun. It's about 500,000 times as massive as Pluto

The sun is not a giant glass of tea. Adding Ice is not going to cool it down.

Want to do something astronomical to cool the planet? Build a giant mirror in orbit to reflect a percentage of the sun's rays away.

Its at Least as plausible as the "iced tea" theory.

HUH? I dont get it. What does pluto have to do with global warming? is this a rhetorical question?

If astronauts were capable of such things, then we would also probably be capable of loading up colonization ships with lots of people, and relocate to another planet to start screwing up with a fresh start.

wow what a nice idea...all we need is enough fuel for a spacecraft to survive till it reaches pluto.
