it's up against The Departed, Letters from Iwo Jima, Babel , and The Queen...

While I dont feel that Little Miss Sunshine was the best film of the year (that for me is reserved for A Praire Home Companion), unlike in 2004 when the best film was most certainly and without a doubt Sideways, Little Miss Sunshine is certainly the best of the five nominated. The likely winners will be Letters from Iwo Jima, or The Departed. I however would be very excited to see the Queen win, but it is just as much a dark horse, probably even more so than Little Miss Sunshine.

I really didn't like Little Miss Sunshine that much...I thought it was quite overrated actually
However I do hope Alan Arkin wins for Supporting Actor
I want The Departed to win Best Picture...it was absolutely incredible. Although I have a feeling Babel will win

No way.
Aside from the fact that Babel won the Golden Globe for picture (and 90% of the time, it holds through to the Oscars), Letters and the Queen are very strong contenders

I love little Miss Sunshine but The departed is a masterpiece

Um, it did no longer win for terrific image (The Departed did). yet Alan Arkin bowled over every person by ability of winning terrific helping Actor. Eddie Murphy became the famous, yet apparently he left after he did no longer win.

It was a great great movie that I really enjoyed but it will not win
It's too hip for oscar voters. My feeling is Babel or letters.......

I'm putting my money on Babel for the win...but you never know, ever since 3-6 Mafia won...anything is possible

That certainly would be the upset to beat all upsets if that happened.
I am praying that it goes to The Departed - an excellent film.

I hope not...it had potential...but the ending was far from good...the other movies nominated are much more oscar worthy

I hope it does win but I doubt it will... movies like that rarely win Oscars....
