HUM, I've been using our Dr. Brown's bottles for 5 months and haven't seen anything like that. Do you use a dishwasher? If you do and they still don't come off I'd just go buy new ones, since no one is sure what it is from it's better safe than sorry :)

Try to boil them, if that doesn't work then replace them with new nipples. If you keep having the same problem, switch brands. I've always used the Vent air bottles and I think that they work great and I've never had that problem with the nipples. Also, try to soak the nipples in warm soapy water for five minutes before washing, that could also help.

do you wash them in a dishwasher? that would be my first guess lol. if its happening in the nipple i would say the water is too hot for the nipples and yes this does happen lol. If its happening in the bottle i would assume its something on the lining of the bottle coming off, which isnt a good thing.

Nipples sometimes get old after several washes. I noticed that too with my first child. You may need to just go out and get new ones.

I would say it is formula, especially if you use powdered formula. We have twins and use the same bottles. We go through 20 bottles a day and have no "white bumps."

i dont use that brand, but are you sure you're not getting dish soap build-up or something?? have you tried washing them by hand and boiling them to sterilize them and start over??
i would try that, to be sure they are clean and if it still happens, then i would contact the manufacturer.

you probably need to get some new nipples, you have to change them ever so often.
