Hello,
(ANS) To be honest with you, if your web browser cashes, shuts down and now wont respond. It sounds like its encountered a programming level fault, which usually means one of the files or possibly several files have encountered serious problems at a code level.
If you have windows or windows XP, look in your machines "event log" look in the applications event log & or system event log. This will confirm or not my suspicons.
**If the browser wont reload after crashing it may require a) a re-installation to fix or replace the corrupted or damaged files b) or a repair from the browser setup program but it depends which version of internet explorer you have. You may have to download the IE installer program once again, & reinstall.
**NOTE: IE6 was woven into windows XP so its not a seperate program these days. Which does in some respects make life more difficult in these sorts of situations. All you can do is try to repair or re-install over the top of the old/previous files.
**PS: Its definately worth running any anti virus software or any anti spyware software over your system, in case this is whats caused the problem in the first place.
Hope that helps?

This happens to me anytime I have more than 8 tabs running.
I have 512 ram and am on a slow connection. Not much I can do but keep the tabs down to a minimum. I also have a whole slew of preload programs which I could shut down as I'm not using them.
Bottom line is that you should shut down anything that is eating your ram in order to let IE operate efficiently. Also suggest that you make sure you get all updates for IE. If it crashes, a reboot is in order.
