I love Lionhead rabbits! You can get them at Petland if you have that store in your area. They sell them for a good price, around $30 or so... pet stores have better prices than breeders too. just check around, im sure youll find one.

If you can't find a breeder and you are looking for a high quality rabbit for breeding or showing, some breeders will ship (through an airport). I was looking into shipping to get some good breeding stock.

Here's a link with some information on shipping; including price estimates: http://islandgems.net/flying.html

As you can tell by the prices, though, these are only for super high quality rabbits. Top of the line. If you don't really care how high caliber the rabbit is, there's always the option of adopting, or finding a local breeder (or, if they are too far away, driving to pick up the rabbit.)

The best place to purchase a rabbit is at a fair. There are many 4H ers that have their pet rabbits up for sale. You should be able to find a Lionhead rabbit there. I purchased an 8 week old for $25. I do not suggest buying a rabbit from a pet store. Often times, these animals are sick and carry diseases. Good Luck

Lionheads are a relatively new breed and finding people who breed them exclusively is going to be something of a trick. Your best bet is to check out rabbit clubs in your area, then attend a meeting or two and ask around.

There are several breeders in the USA, so there should certainly be breeders in other countries as well.

Please consider adopting a rabbit from your local shelter or rescue organization. Rabbits are the third most abandoned pet, after cats and dogs. There are so many homeless rabbits out there, and you would feel so good about rescuing one of them :)
