Yes but usually not as bad and they will gradually fade away. You might ask your doctor about reducing the dosage of HRT gradually rather than just stopping it.

I started menopause at age 43 and started hrt at that time due to horrific hot flashes. (one every 45 minutes to an hour lasting 2-3 minutes.) I have tried over the years to quit...slowly, cold turkey, using anti-depressants, holistic, snake oils, etc. I always came back to hrt. I am almost 65 and have been off of hrt for one month. The hot flashes have returned with full force. I am a wreck. They say a small percentage of women have such flashes their entire life. I'm thinking I drew the unlucky straw. Any new suggestions would be most appreciated.

I was on hrt for six years then i came off it
The symptoms were really bad after trying loads of different things for 2 years . The flushes etc were making my life really miserable so i went back on hrt It wouldn`t be the right decision for everyone but it was the right decision for me

Yes, I stopped taking HRT 2 years ago. My doctor recommended Phyto Soya Capsules a natural product that does help. My hot flushes are still here but not as bad as they were. You need to be patient.

I had HRT for about 2 months, but unfortunatly it made my symtoms seem worse, so i came off it, i,m just riding it now. so i don,t really know if after a long period of time on HRT that the symtoms return. good luck anyway.

Yes they will, but not in the same way as they did before, they will be less noticeable.
