Spam is not a virus...its junk mail. Many places sell email address. They hope that you will be the one in a million that acts on it. Most email programs (like outlook) have a way for you to block them but the only problem is that they change the sender info all the time. Try using key words to block them(if your able). Like Free, Viagara, Sex, Girls. Everytime those words show up in the subject line it goes in the trash.

You blame yourself. The computer is inanimate and does only what it is told to do whether or not it is in error.

As for SPAM, if it is in your inbox, click in the box preceding the sender, then click the SPAM button. It will be blocked from your address.

If it goes into bulk, in Options, General Preferences, set the display messages to about 25. Then you can quickly scan the senders to ensure there is nothing there you want, click the "check all" button, then click "delete." Gone with two mouse clicks.

Honey, virus trackers don't track spam. They track viruses. Spam filters do an okay job with getting rid of spam; but the race is on to see if one can completely obliterate it; and no one has yet! That is the answer we are all looking for. To respond to spam means you will get more of it. You can buy an anti-spam program in addition to the one that may already be on your computer; but chances are it will not get rid of it all.

Neither, there's no point. Just dump it unopened in your spam folder.

It's nothing to do with a virus, your address is out there somewhere from a site you visited. Never respond or acknowledge, including asking to be unsubscribed, that just confirms your address as valid & you'll get more!
