Yes, presidents do get a retirement fund. I know it's 6 figures, I believe it's $200,000 a year, not sure about that.

Did we all forget 911 and all the way up till january, we've been safe. I know he hasn't done it alone. But the truth is the truth. Yes we should support him, just like we support the peanut farmer. That has done just as much harm, or did we forget that too. Not to mention clinton and all of his comings oops, pardon the pun.

on top of maintaining his/her salary for life, they also receive secret service protection, free office rent (see bill clinton's higher office rent to a 'friend' than all the living presidents combined, even before the recent death), and other similar expenses.

No. It is 400,000 a year while employed. It is not for life. He does get Secret Service protection and retains certain security clearance for life.

In this case quite a bit. Once he sells his share of Haliburton (he should have done so when we first went to "war") he will not even need his government pension to live like an oil tycoon.
