"Stay the Course" What else CAN he say?

Clearly there is little he can say which will do other than generate animosity in many people. Like yourself they will prejudge the content and his intent.

In a way President Bush is a victim of the media, the extreme left, and those who care nothing for facts. I’ve never been a supporter of President Bush but he is the President and deserves basic respect and a open-mind to his ideas.

It is amazing how President Bush has been the subject of unbelievable verbal abuse with no foundation. It isn’t that there is no things that he has done wrong (at least in my opinion), but it would be nice to deal in facts rather than regurgitated political spin issued by those who hate President Bush.

The right thing to do is to make no predetermined decision about the content of his State of the “Union” speech tonight, but rather listen to it and consider it within other facts.

One thing that can be decided prior to tonight’s speeches, is the announced intent of the Democratic intent to deliver their response in both English and Spanish. That demonstrates the direction of the Democratically controlled Congress.

going to avoid talk of the war as much as possible. Talk will center on other issues like health care.

Why mention the war when his own Republican guys in Congress are criticizing him

something very catchy and stupid for his gullible fans, like Stay the Course or The way Forward or Let's Roll or I am the Decider.

Other than that , you'll hear nothing but sound bites and basically a redux of a Toby keith song.

That, despite their best efforts to screw things up, he managed to stave off the armageddon that the Democrats had planned for this Country and that we will be safe for at least the rest of his term.

More fear.

More denial.

A smirk or two.

Perhaps a malapropism or two.
