People often want to email or write others so as to find out about different cultures etc. I wouldn't recommend putting your email address out there for everyone to see.
Use a well know source (like the above link) so that they pair you with suitable partners.
There's a lot of nuts out there and the Internet as increased access to paedophiles and others. BE CAREFUL who you correspond with. Judging from your age you are only 14 so be careful as you never know who the person is on the other end of the letter.
