i tried i failed i like weight watchers better because then i don't feel like i'm starving myself, special k doesn't have enough fiber in it to make you feel full after eating it, choose high fiber foods.

Sure it will work. Special K is a healthy cereal and by eating it twice a day you will be significantly cutting your calorie intake per day (assuming you're replacing a high calorie breakfast and lunch with the cereal). It's just a small step to a healthier lifestyle. Don't get "stuck in a rut" with the cereal though. Give in to a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit occassionally if you want, otherwise you'll feel deprived and you'll blow the diet.
Accomplany the cereal with drinking lots of water all day and walking/exercise for 30 mins a few times a week and you'll probably lose weight starting week 1!
You can do this diet indefinately but you'll get tired of cereal real fast I bet. You don't have to use only Special K. Any healthy cereal will do. I love Oatmeal Crisp with raisins. It has a nice sweet taste but still a good healthy cereal.

It can work if you can stick with it. Basically, it just comes down to cutting down on what you're eating. I tried if myself for a couple of days, but found it hard to eat only cereal for the day. I was starving by the time dinner came around! So, if you stick with it (I think it says on the box of Special K to do this for two weeks!), you could lose weight. However, I think you'd be better off just cutting down on everything for a couple weeks, cutting out the junk food, etc., eating only healthy food (Spec. K would be fine, just add some fruit for a snack in between meals), exercising more (walking is GREAT) and drink lots of water, too!

I imagine it does. Make sure that you follow their serving sizes. If a serving size is a 1/2 cup and you eat 1 cup of cereal, it's not going to work. Losing weight is all about eating fewer calories than you expend. You should lose about 1-2 pounds a week. Keep it up until you are happy with your weight loss. Add excersize to your plan and you'll lost weight and gain muscle. Good luck!

The reason that it works is that the calories you are in taking just eating cereal for 2 meals is much lower than a lot of other things. I personally would not do it I would get too sick of cereal I think you can calorie count and keep your calories low without just eating cereal but if you stick to it it most defiantly would work.

I certainly don't recommend it. It's not enough calories, fat or protein. No vegetables, either. Very poor diet plan. You may lose some weight, but when you stop the diet and start eating real meals again (even if they are smaller meals) you will put it all back on. And probably more. That always happens with crash diets.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's not a balanced diet. As soon as you go off of it,you will gain the weight right back. Sounds senseless to me. If you want to lose 10 lbs, just increase your exercise.

Yes you will lost weight as you are drastically cutting your caloric intake, however you will not be eating a balanced diet and will most likely suffer from fatigue and possibly nausea as a result of not giving yourself the required nutrients.

I haven't tried it but I'm sure it does, just because your not eating very many calories. I wouldn't carry it on for more than a couple of weeks.
