Ax +By = C. I am asked to find the x-intercept and the y intercept. I look at the equation and am not sure how to proceed. Please tell me what to do—how do I find the x-intercept and the y-intercept?

the x intercept is when y=0

so Ax+by=c when y=0 you get

Ax=c
X=c/A

the y intercept is when X=0

and in this case you get

By=c
y=C/b

so the x-intercept is (C/A,0) and the y-intercept is (0,C/B)

Ax + By = C
solution : Ax +By = C
For X intercept put Y = 0 (zero)
Ax + B (0) = C
Ax = C
x = A / C (ans)

For Y intercept Put X = 0 (Zero)
Ax + By =C
A(0) + By = C
By = C
y = C / B (ans)

as far as i know i hope the asnwer i gave is right but plz make it confirm by other users as well ok

The y intercept is where x=0: A0 +By = C; y = C/B.

The x intercept is where y=0: Ax + B0 = C; x = C/A

The x intercept occurs when x=0, the y intercept occurs when y=0. If you can't find the answer now, then think about it until you "get it".

to find the x intercept set y equal to zero

x=c/b

to find the y intercept, set x equal to zero
