The first one is...a highly respected individual, head of the Transylvanian mountain community. Sort of like a judge, head of the community, decides upon certain legal and community issues. What do you call his position in the English terminology?

And the second term is...hill-community, but...does this expression exist, or do you call it under a differnet name, or expression?

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

The first one sounds like "mayor" is the word you want.

Hill-community would be a country subdivision (as opposed to a city or suburb).

(1) Headman or community leader.

(2) I don't think there's any special term for a community that lives in the hills. I guess most people would probably call it a hill community.
