Some Ameicans support Bush because they are brainwashed by their media which is many owned and run by Republican supporters, who support Republican policy because it means they get more money. Most Americans don't see what the rest of the world sees, or they don't care what effect their enormous country has on the rest of the world. It's just not reported over there. Also, hardly any Americans have actually travelled outside of their country to get a glimpse of the rest of the world, so for them, it does not exist. They think that every country in the middle east wants to kill them all, and that this justifies war. They think that Bush is protecting them by waging war, when they don't realise, that this actually makes MORE people want to kill them all and makes the problem worse. It is also not widely reported over there that oil and money have a lot to do with America's actions, and that it's not to do with freedom and democracy at all, which is shown by the fact taht America will send troops in to tear down democratically elected leaders in countires such as Argentina, and install brutal dictators, because the brutal dictators have policies more favourable towards American trade.
Also, there is a lot of Christianity in America, and their religion really affects the way they vote and who they support. For some contradictory reason, being a strong believer in Christianity in America, is synonymous with supporting an administration that believes killing is the answer. But also, Bush opposes things like abortion and gay marriage, which people like.
It can generally be put down to ignorance, sort of like how the Germans in Nazi Germany felt about Hitler before he went totally crazy. They all loved him because he did good for their country, seemed to be strong and protective of German interests, and all they were fed was Nazi propaganda so they didn't know what else to believe or how the rest of the world thought of them. They vaguely knew what went on... as the Americans do with the illegal torture camps such as Guantanamo Bay, but when your own life seems alright and you're not the one being bombed or tortured, or driven to poverty because of bad trade agreements, or having your counrty's government interfered with, then you assume it must all be fine.
That's not to say all Americans are like this. a lot of them are not, and there is a hell of a lot less support for Bush now than there has been. SO hopefully, it will continue this way, and the American people will realise the responsibility they have as the most powerful nation, to think about the rest of us! It wil, especially in the next few years, become more important for America to consider worldwide opinion with the rise of competing superpowers such as China.

If you watch the news then how can you make the statement he is vastly supported in the US? Your question on it's face has no merit because it is factless.
I will humor myself though and say that I support the fact that he is TRYING to do something about radical muslim terrorism, which is giving him a really bad name....doesn't make him a bad person. The job of Presidency is thankless and cruel and I'm not really sure why someone would want to subject themselves to constant criticism. It is a crap shute. Clinton had a great presidency thrown in his lap with the internet supporting a great economy. He didn't react at all to the 1993 WTC bombing so there was no international incident for him to deal with. He also didn't react to the USS Cole bombing with any major efforts. Imagine if the terrorists were successful in bringing the towers down with their first attempt...do you think he would have started a war over there? I sure HOPE so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First allow me to give you a lesson in the hazzards of generalizing. You are quite wrong in saying 'you all still support him'. In the really Bush friendly polls he shows 33% approval rating here. In most polls hi approval rating is 24% to 26%. Therefore slightly over three quarters of this country do not like what this President is doing.
Far from thinking he is best most citizens of this country, and there are exceptions place him quite low on the list of US Presidents when ranking from best to worst.

Actually only 1/3 of the country supports president bush. His policies obviously have prevented another attck on the U.S. since 911 and the economy is quite good, however, his blunder into Iraq, the lies and deceptions he and his administration have told to the American people, coupled with open borders and years of unecessarily high gas prices, would make him a very unpopular president and likely one of the worse presidents in the history of the U.S.

Ask this question of the citizens of any democratic country and you will get the same Answers.
Some approve of their leader, some disapprove. But all will say the same.
He / She is our elected leader, we support democracy so we support them. If we feel they are doing a bad job we will sack them.
So not all Americans support Bush, but we all support democracy, and guess what...Bush supports it too.

What, exactly, has he done that would make me lose support for him?
He has started a war, with the permission of congress, against terrorism in EVERY country in the Middle East, including Iraq. Since then, America has not seen another terrorist attack, and I find it REALLY hard to believe that the terrorists just "gave up" like some people want you to believe.
He is trying his best to end the worst plague our nation has had since slavery, abortion.
However, I do not agree with his plan of opening the borders of America. I think we need to end the illegal immigration problem FAST. But, nobody's perfect.

He did not attack an innocent ruler, Saddam was just like Hitler. Genocide, mass murder, intimidation, and torture were how he ruled. He had attempted to have Bush Sr. killed. He had made threats against the US and US allies. He allowed his country to become a training ground for terrorism. Intelligence reports of something like 25 nations said he had WMD's so believe me he did (the world will see them at some point and then will say damn he was right). He was in violation of UN resolutions and treaties. My question is this Why have the leaders of most other countries become so scared to act to get rid of this type of worldly threat>? Is there some reason that world leaders would like to allow another Hitler? Why do we have a UN if they want enforce their rulings? GW has not been perfect but at least he has the courage to act. Shame on the cowards who will allow this type of hate monger to rule.

He's not the best, but for all that has happened during his presidency, I think he's done as much as anyone else could do.
Sure, he's not a great speaker, but he probably doesn't have someone write his speeches (like FDR). He's a conservative, God-fearing, family man.
I just wish he was more interested in the sciences and more concerned with sustainability.

Less than one third of american's support Bush. In all actuality most american's would like to see him gone. He's harmed the entire world, our country, and has brought such violence to the world. He is definately bad not only for the world but especially americans.
