There is something called Couvcade Syndrome, which is where the father of the baby starts to develop similar symptoms of pregnancy as the mother - nausea, heartburn, moodiness, weight gain, and sympathy labor pains are among some of the symptoms that men can experience.
You can take any normal OTC nausea aid for your nausea. If it gets severe, you can see a doctor.

I had morning sickness from 7weeks all the way until 18/19 weeks, tried every old wifes tale in the book and nothing worked i also lost over a stone and a half in six weeks because it was so bad. There was nothing the doctors would give me but a friend of mine has been given anti sickness tablets from the doctors so you should take her to the doctors and if she is throwing up alot then she is losing a lot of nutrients and might need to go on a drip or something to put all that back in her body. Good Luck xox

While you really can't get her morning sickness, it is very common to have similar symptoms to your girlfriend.
I've noticed that as I am pregannt, my husband seems to mimic a lot of the symptoms that I have. In addition, those that he had before I got pregnant seem to have gotten worse. It's very normal, but hard to deal with when you're the pregnant person, since we feel like we're the ones entitled to all the sympathy.

You are having sympathy pains...they are actually recognized in medical journals. For this it is called Couvad's syndrome. There are some 30 symptoms. One biggie is weight gain, and the other nausea.

Congratulations. And Congratulations to her too for having such a sweet and in love bf.
Yes you can have sympathy symptoms. You cannot "get" her morning sickness in the sense that it is not a catching, passable disease. :P

Awwwwww....
Good for you, yes it is possible I have heard of several men with sympathy symptoms....my BF gained weight with me but that was about it, I think it had more to do with the fact that I do all the cooking and never stopped stuffing my face. LOL :) Best of luck to all of you she sounds like she has a great guy!!!!

CONGRATS!!! Its normal for a guy to feel "Sympathy Symptoms". The father of the child, may feel sick, gain weight or even have cravings. This doesn;t happen to all men. In my experience, and i am the last one in my family to be pregnant, of 4 girls, This only happend when the guy was abslutely head over heels for his wife or girldfriend.

Congratulations..
I don't know about men getting morning sickness but I do know that if you eat some saltines right after getting up it will help (keep them at your bedside).
Also, staying away from "heavy" foods such as fried foods and such.
Good Luck..

LOL, I love you!
Yes they do get it. Some call it sympathy pains, I think it is a guilt mechanism that kicks in when you love someone and feel bad for what she has to go through.
