Right from the very start he chose to not listen to the experts(the generals) and do things his way. Everything in his life that he chose to do his way has been a total failure and Iraq has just been more of the same, total failure.

He's made mistakes.
- Letting the Iraqi government talk him out of eliminating Muqtada al Sadr.
- Having restricting rules of engagement.
- Failure to use his office as bully pulpit against those undermining our efforts here at home
- Failure to use his office to speak more to the people about the war and why it was and is necessary and why it is important to win
As for people who think he's micromanaging it - that's not the truth. While Bush does have to make the decisions about troop levels, goals, and sign off on strategy - he relies heavily on the advice and counsel of the JCS and the Pentagon, as well as his advisors. In the face of conflicting counsel (e.g. more troops v. less troops), he's had to make a decision. The advice he deferred to seems to have been mistaken.
It's not the military aspects that I have the most problems with, it is the political aspects. He's put us in a precarious political position, where regardless of military victories, we'll lose this politically.
The saddest thing is that he has not launched a major offensive against the growing anti-war bandwagon. This has led to people not being trusting of the US commitment - making our allies hesitant and our enemies bold. This has been his greatest mistake.

If Iraq becomes free and it's citizens get a piece of the oil revenues as the current plan states then this will cause the extremist regimes of Iran and Syria to fall from within.
Iran and Syria are the two Major terrorist funding countries on the planet. Hezbollah whom is attempting a coupe in Lebanon will lose there backing as well as will Ham-mas.
President Bush has made mistakes by taking the wrong suggestions. Every wartime president is guilty of making mistakes.
He is easy to poke fun at but he is highly underestimated by the far left. Eventually his cunning will prove fruit-full for the world to see and the far left will have such a black eye from it they may not be able to recover from it.
He is a man of principle and he sticks by them regardless of what direction the political winds are blowing. These are the traits of a great leader. At a time when we need them most.

He got hoodwinked and fell for it hook, line and sinker (going by his own admission). He should have exercised and relied on his own judgment instead of buckling under pressure. It is too late now but I think we need to remember that being President/ PM does not make one superhuman. He was put in power by the whole nation and cheered by the world because we once believed in him and his failure is as much our failure because we failed to recognize that he would one day lead us down a road we didn't want to travel just as he failed to recognize the possibility there were no nuclear weapons/ programs underway in Iraq. My gran used to say, "when you point a finger of blame at another, take heed how many are pointing right back at you".

President Bush, is doing the Best job that anyone in his position could do. There is no cut and dry scenario to war, no scripts, no way of telling the future.
A lot of Liberals whine and cry that it is wrong, but I have yet to hear one concrete plan from the left......except Surrender, Quit, Run. These are not options nor solutions. These are just easy way outs....that will come back and bite us later..
If we Quit & Run...will we have any muscle with Iran, China or Korea?? NO!!! They wil ignore us knowing we will only Quit again.

I personally can't think of ANY action by Bush in the last 6 years that has been for the good of the American people...he has been too busy punishing others for perceived slights against his father & kissing up to big business.....
I think his spoiled, stubborn little rich boy attitude has harmed America in the eyes of the world and we will be paying greatly for generations to come.
I think Bush should be impeached & tried for treasonist acts against our country....he has tried many times (and succeeded) in thwarting the constitution....
His next agenda is amnesty for illegals....we must get this in the spotlight also....middle-class Americans must rise up & try to save our country!

Iraq is a shambles, and no matter if we do this troop surge it is not going to work. Bush is a hardhead micro-manager and has no idea how to fix this problem. He's done a very poor job, kinda like when he served in the military was hardly ever on the ball doing what was needed.

I think for attacking innocent countries with Depleted Uranium weapons and destroying good countries the whole administration should be executed. They are destroying the USA as well as the middle east all at the same time in trying to start their New World Order. It is totally criminal beyond words. Bush Admin also caused 9/11. I refer you to watch 'Loose Change' or '911 Mysteries' and see it was a controlled demolition on all 3 buildings. The 'War On Terror is a BIG LIE!

He has made plenty of mistakes but I do agree with him and congress sending troops. I would have waited until Afghanistan was further along so I don't agree with his timing. He is trying to do the right thing and while his effort has been less than perfect so have all battle plans in all wars.

It could not be much worse. We needed more troops in the beginning - many more. He fires any general who does not agree with him. They are in a CIVIL war between religions - we can never win in any sence of winning.

At least he is trying to do something different then the last Presidents over 20 or so years. Doing nothing pretty much guarantee's getting the same results.
God bless our troops!
