Stand up to him/her and make yourself a difficult target. Bullies prefer easy prey. They bully to make themselves feel better by appearing superior. Especially if you are a threat.

At school, the next time somebody bullies you, don't hesitate, bust him/her in the mouth. Done. Suspension maybe, but he/she will not likely choose you the next time. Just don't act scared. Don't brag of your accomplishment. Just admit that you are tired of people messing with you.

At work, if it's a guy, call him out. Handle it outside of work. Don't get fired over a loser. They aren't worth it.

At work, if it's a woman, I hate to say this, but you have your work cut out for you. Women in the workplace, especially an office setting, are some conniving, backstabbing, wicked people. If you don't feel your work can speak for itself and management notice so that your job will not be threatened ever, then you should consider finding another job. If you take any kind of action, it will fuel the fire and she will react. It will perpetuate no matter what. It's that cowardly behind the back stuff that women pull. They try to get others to agree with her and turn them against you.

Good luck in whatever you choose though. Just don't allow yourself to be bullied. You teach people how you want to be treated. By allowing certain behavior, good or bad, people figure out what they can do to you and what they can't.

It's up to you.

I beat him up. For years there was the school bully that used to pick on me and my friends...and he was there for years...and even started at my first job that I had during highschool. One night during closing, he snuck up behind me and put me in a headlock, so...I lifted him off balance, reached around and hurled his *** over a table and under another. He was stunned. After that moment, he never picked on me again...in fact we kinda became friends as weird as that sounds. I don't know what ever happened to him though. That was...ouch...a long time ago.

Never ever let them think they are above you. Bullies are never as tough as you think. They only bully people that won't fight back. They are weak and have no self esteem.
Coming from a recovered bully.

By making fun of him in front of all the people telling them how dumb and chicken he is... He never bothered me in all of his life and later we became friends, close friends...

I guess the thing is not to let them intimidate you...
