I would call it
DOSH = Denominations Of Spending / Saving Happiness
there would be 100 YEHAAS to a DOSH
YEHAA = Yelps of Happiness At Actually Spending / Saving
there would be 10 LOOTS to a YEHAAS
LOOTS = Lots Of Opportunities To Spend / Save

Standard unit would be the 'pound'
Each 'Pound' would be made of 100 'Pennies' or 'Pence'
I would create a symbol to characterise the pound; probably a shape resembling the capital letter 'L' but covered over at the top, to the right, so it pointed back down. Possibly I'd add two waves lines about half way down running horizontally.
I'd probably add a historical figures head on one side of the 'pound', most likely the Queens.

Rich T is correct - the Global Currency is the Dollar = every nation on earth has to buy (or sell) Oil and this is priced in Dollars.
Irrespective of the major unit, the universal sub-unit is the 'cent' (because there are 100 per major unit).

Credits seems to be popular in futuristic movies but also for arcade machines so that would be naff. Maybe a new word would need to be invented to it justice...........
