Why do babies like to suck on their tongues. My son uses a pacifier, and I have started to notice that he sucks his tongue. It scares me to death, because i have this fear that he will swollow it.

Thats just for comfort , just like when some babies suck their thumbs. My aunty is 25 and she stil sucks on her tongue sometimes.

I don't think so. I suck my gf's tongue all the time when the mood is right. Its really good if the girl is big in that department too. Ihave found that most women have large tougues actually, just an after thought.

First off it is impossible for someone to swollow their tongue. that is a big misconception. second, it is completely normal for your son to do that. I have 3 children, my youngest is 4 months old and he does the same thing.

all babies do it,sucking is a great comforter,they suck their thumbs before they are born,there is no way he will swallow it so stop worrying

Maybe its just a phase he is going through. But babies tounges are still growing so he shouldnt be able to. and sorry but you can actually swalllow your tounge KAT...
