Go Yankees! All the way baby! I am happy with these off season moves trying to get some good young pitchers. The left side of our infield will be dominant. I was also happy with the play of our outfield last year when Matsui was out. Like always, we've got a great shot at winning it!

The Yankees are the better team. They brought back Pettite. They have more or less the same team with a couple of exceptions. The Yankees have the best lineup in baseball especially the best 3-4-5 order in baseball. The Red Sox are putting too much hope in Matsusaka. Josh Beckett doesn't seem like the same pitcher anymore. He was among the league leaders last year in giving up home runs. Curt Schilling is not getting any younger He is going to be 41 this year. His best years may be behind him as well. The pitching staff is falling apart. Even if they put Papelbon in the rotation, their staff doesn't look very good, and pitching is what wins in the playoffs. Things don't look good for Boston. The Yankees may even get Roger Clemens. Don't be surprised if it happens. The Yankees always find ways to win games no matter who gets injured. The Yankees are the better team which is no surprise at all. The Red Sox may not be a better team than the Blue Jays as that was proven last year. So, the Yankees are the better team.

It's simple, the Red Sox are definitely better.
Even if the Yankees 26 World Series wins outnumber the 6 the Red Sox have, the Red Sox are an obviously better team. The Red Sox actually play as a team while the Yankees are more of overpaid superstars thrown together in what one might call a team.
An example of this is A-Rod and Jeter. A-Rod and Jeter used to be friends, but that friendship ended when A-Rod made some negative comments about Jeter. Now that they're playing for the same team, they're relationship is ruining their performance. An example is when they collided on the field trying to catch a pop up. Jeter glared at A-Rod and walked off, with the ball lying on the ground. This is just one example of Yankees "teamwork". This outweighs any of the edges the Yankees might have over the Red Sox, even though they have pretty well balanced rosters.
Besides, no one can beat the best 3-4 duo in baseball: David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez!

I prefer the Yankees. That said, this year (2007), I'm afraid the Red Sox may have the better team. The main reason -- the Red Sox starting pitching rotation (Schilling, Beckett, Matsuzaka, Papelbon, Wakefield) is substantially improved over last season and might be one of (the) best in all of baseball. It might be downright lethal. Red Sox also added Julio Lugo and JD Drew to a very good line-up. The only the weak spot is a so-so infield. Yankees have a great line-up, about as good as in year's past, and an slightly improved starting rotation (Mussina, Wang, Petite, Igawa). I hope the Yankees win, but the Sox are probably a little bit better.

You want to know what people think?
Type in this question "Yankees or Red Sox?" up in the "Search for questions" box and you will see hundreds (if not thousand) of the same questions :)
Please stop repeating questions and reposting the same exact questions more than 100 times a day. It's really annoying to the Fans that are not Yankees and Red Sox. And trust me, there are 10 times more other team fans than there are Yankees/Red Sox fans.
But if i had to choose, it would be the Yankees Red Sox

yankees have a better rotation than the red sox. Schilling- old, will have the same performance as randy johnson, matsuzaka- never proved to pitch in the big leagues, papaelbon- closer, wont be able go far into the game, wakefield- too many knuckleballs, beckett- ERA will go high as 10.56. Red Sox have a weak lineup.
yankees have pitchers that are proven to pitch in the big leagues except igawa. when rocket comes back the yankees will be the bomb!!

the Yankees, no doubt.
The Red Sox "dynasty" lasted a whole 8 games and it was back to normal.
