I wouldn't say they're necessarily suffering, but being multi-lingual certainly makes communications between different cultures a lot easier. It's advantageous on multiple fronts to be able to speak another language, such as international trade and in the free exchange of scientific and engineering thought. And English is certainly at the top in commercial enterprise...

No, Many indians have full command on the English language. Right from old days, we had Dr. Radhakrishnan, and even today there are many Indians, who can teach a word or two, even to the English. But maybe, you only meet the type of Indians, who are desperately trying to make a living. And as the saying goes, a drowning man may not speak good grammar or phonetics.

It's not just Indians...seems everyone suffers from bad English. The excuse the Indians can use is it is not their native language.

Indians speak better english than most foreigners do. I admire them for being able to learn it along with all the other languages they use. As far as them speaking Hindu when they are with other indians, most people from other countries speak their own mother tongue when around others from their own country. It is easier and faster for them, so why not. Just don't go talking about me behind my back. LOL

I'm not indian but it is proven fact that english is one of the most hardest langauges to learn.

try to live in another country and learn there langauge..I doubt you will speak it correctly.

I don't feel your English is bad but you people forget the fun, relaxed nature of the English language. When you are in US you should simply speak English....when you people insist on speaking Hindi?? you separate yourselves.
