Where in California are you going to be?
May I suggest if you have a locale in mind, do a search on the city.
All cities and many smaller towns have their own web sites.
They have lots of tourist information on them, with the ablity to book accommodation as well.
I tend to follow Motel 6 around, they are everywhere and reasonably priced.
There is much to see in California; National Parks, major theme parks, the coastline, Hollywood etc etc.

It depends where you want to go.
San Francisco is ALWAYS foggy - but it's all eclectic and there's loads of stuff to do. Alcatraz is very good - there's such an atmosphere in the prison.
Los Angeles is cool - Universal Studios is AMAZING. But don't go anywhere where there's loads of pollution on the streets - they're dangerous places.
San Diego is fabulous. It's so relaxed, and it would entertain me for three months!!!
A trip to Las Vegas or Reno is a must too.

Go to Albion there are afew wonderful campgrounds there it is on the Mendocino Coast it is absolutely gorgeous that time of year and it isn't too hot or too cold.. That whole stretch of coast is awesome

Arizona. Don't waist your money. But if you must, go to San Francisco. At least there's a little less crime and hate. It's all over priced for wading in a cold ocean. Take your pick.

there is tons to do ...but it does depend on your budget. I have one suggestion you should go to Pismo beach it is a fun relaxing beach town a couple hours north of LA. If you want more suggestions you can email me. Have fun in Cali

if you can afford to take of to the States for 3 months just like that you must be able to afford to stay anywhere....and you dont have to do anything...just sun-bathe...lucky sod
