Elen DeGeneres. . . (she's a funny lady)

Got to be Mel Brooks. I cannot think of anyone that has ever prompted so much absurdity. So much laughter being healing as him. Not that Nazis, racists, fascists, were every a good thing. But he just took so many (gag hurl, I wish I could think of a better cliche) lemons and made lemonade. "Have a nice day" printed on the KKK robes in the 'bad guy sign up line' from Blazing Saddles. And then the "where are the white women at?" line. Perfectly ridiculous, perfectly exposes the bad guys for the idiots that they really were. Remember "bu-a-ull sh*t" toast.

Adversity is also why I think Richard Pryor was so funny.
