Lady traveller...you are an ace....

to be honest i was going to go into Palma...and have a good look around for an hour or so, before catching the bus to Santa Ponsa...but this way guaranteed a cost effective way of getting to resort..

Thank you..will pass these details onto my missus for fianl approval..!!!

Hello Michael.

Yes, but it can take a couple of hours. However it will cost only around 4,50 euros (per person). There is a special palma airport bus from the airport into the centre of Palma and then you need the direct bus to Santa Ponsa.
There are other buses but they travel into Palma Nova and Magalluf and therefore take longer because you have to then get your way from Palama Nova/Magaluf into Santa Ponsa.

Have you looked at Resort Hoppa? I looked on their site for you and it tells me that for your journey you'll pay £14.25 return per person. Thats just over £7 each way which I think is reasonable for a pre-booked guaranteed service. Its a shuttle bus direct not a taxi and you may have to wait on other passengers but it's much cheaper than a taxi and very reliable with no hassle.

Honestly, if it were me, I would pre-book resort hoppa or something similar, unless you've actually seen & used the public service before, it's too much of a hassle. The chances are, you'd be left carrying your luggage around not really knowing what you were doing, the drivers speak little english and it seems like an awful lot of effort just to save just a couple of pounds.
Not many people transfer from the airport this way and theres obviously a reason why they dont.
Santa Ponsa with the resort hoppa shuttle is around 30 minutes or so, but it will take you over an hour in the public bus from Palma town (thats not at peak times and not including the airport to palma town and the waiting time between buses)

If you really are insistent on using the public bus, why don't you take the resort hoppa service one way (£10.50 one way approx)and go back using the public bus after you've checked it out yourself when you get there so you'll know for the next time.

Whatever you decide, I hope you get there safely.

All the best!
