Pro Choice means the woman can choose.
Pro Life takes any choices away from the woman.
It also leads to "back alley" abortions, which cause other problems.

Not necessarily. Many pro-choice people are actually against abortion, they just feel that it should be a state matter, not a federal matter, and they're not in favor of the government dictating what a woman does with "her" body.
Now, some of those who are anti-abortion might say that I'M pro-choice because I don't think abortion should be illegalized outright. Instead, I'm for placing limits on it, so that fewer abortions are performed. But I AM against abortion.
So pro-choice and pro-abortion aren't necessarily the same thing.
Pro-abortion means that a person is for abortion, in any form, at any time, and that a woman should be able to have an abortion right up until the day before delivery. That is SICK.
Pro-choice simply means that the person doesn't want the choice taken away from the woman.

No. Pro choice means a woman has the right to choose between having the child or aborting it. Pro abortion has the ridiculous connotation that every time a woman becomes pregnant she should abort the baby.
Interestingly, the reverse terminology does hold however. Anti-choice ( a term that is almost never used ) would correctly state the opponents of abortion's position. That being that the woman should not have a choice as to whether to have the baby or not. She must have it. You can also call this stance anti abortion, which again is a term that is hardly used.
Many on the political right have tried to claim that "pro choice" is just an euphemism for " pro abortion ". Well since they want to nitpick, the above explanation is my response.

Yes as that is the only choice we are talking about. Birth control by abortiion. Not the choice of weather to use standard birth control. Even some of the Cathloc sects are approving of some forms of Birth control. So if the choice is there for Birth control why do we need any abortions.

i am pro choice-its not a choice that i would choose for my self.every single woman has the right to choose what she wants to do w/her body.i believe in extensive counseling first w/other options offered without pressure.i am no ones judge and jury.i just pray people aren't for a abortion because they think the world is over populated.i believe that women and men should take more responsibility for their actions before as far as birth control it's free if you can't afford and they should practice using it.

Of course not. It means a woman can CHOOSE whether she wants to terminate her pregnancy. Pro-life is just one more way the gov't interferes with our lives.
I am pro-choice. I believe women have the right to choose to end their pregnancy, with certain conditions.

No it doesnt mean pro abortion at all.
It means we want a woman to have a CHOICE. She is NOT a hostage to her biology, she is NOT going to be FORCED to abort her baby, if she WANTS to carry it to term, fine it she WANTS to give it up for adoption, fine, if she WANTS to terminate early on, fine.
A popular local newscaster here in Phoenix in the 60s suffered from mild nausea during her pregnancy. This pregnancy was no surprise, in fact this woman and her husband welcomed the child. But because of her nausea, she was prescribed a new anti-nausea medication called Thalidomide, which she took regularly, until reports started surfacing, this drug was causing extreme birth defects in babies whose mothers took it during pregnancy. It apparently interefered with the chromosome chains, causing the defects.
This woman went to her doctor and tests confirmed this woman's child would be born deformed, unable to even survive without being forever hooked to life support machinery. Her husband and she talked it over, and agreed the humane thing to do would be to terminate this pregnancy as soon as possible.
Only one problem. Abortion wasnt legal in the US at that time.
This woman went on TV to appeal to everyone up to the Supreme Court to allow abortions in the US. She waited as long as she dared before her and her husband travelled to Mexico to abort the fetus, which, in Mexico at that time, they did by inducing labor The 3.5 month old fetus was, in fact, monstrously deformed and died almost immediately.
When this woman and her husband returned from Mexico they were shunned for what they had done, even though not one protester had volunteered to adopt the child or to pay for its lifelong treatment, had this woman and her husband decided to carry it to full term. She was fired form her job for what she had done. Soon after, of course, Roe vs Wade made abortion legal for all adult women.
The point is, Abortions will continue to happen, whether they are legal or not. It's a question of do we allow adult females to go through a termination in a back alley with a bent coat hanger and unqualifed morons calling themselves doctors or do we allow her to go through this in clean, safe surroundings, free of fear of punishment for something that is NO ONE ELSES BUSINESS.
It is the womb bearer's choice; anyone who doesn't own that womb has no say in the matter.
That is what we mean when we say its the Womans CHOICE.

I don't think it matters what you call it.... it is killing a human being. It takes a physical Act to kill the child. For example, scissors are plunged into the babies head and or a chemical solution is injected that burns the baby. Killing a baby is really a gruesome act. You can see it for yourself if you google abortion. The reason there is such a support of abortion is that many of the supporters have had abortions before and they are trying to find a way to feel better about themselves and rationalize a very emotional, hurtful act that is buried in their conscience.
