i have seen many times in north carolina that a boss thinks that they have the right to talk to somebody just however they want. i even got wrote up because i had my hand in my pocket right when one of the bosses looked over at me even though i had beed working hard all night, if there are any supervisors out there i would like an explanation to this.

Unfortunatley, many supervisors have a various number of complexes. They tend to protract those complexes and inadequacies on underlings when they move into positions of power. Unfortunatley, they usually make terrible bosses, and their staff has extremely high turnover. The boss usually makes up some lame excuse for this fact, and is never repromanded.

Unfortunatley, in the USA, people are rarely promoted based on merit or ability, but rather time served or "*** kissing" utilization.

No. They can't.

There is a discipline called "coerciveness", but is only to be shown when there is urgency. In rest of the circumstances, supervisor cannot do whatever he wants.
