For sure. Gone are the days of the antenna. Those cable and satellite people want all they can get out of us and they know how to do it

I don't have Cable or a Dish, i just plug in the tube and run off an Antenna...I too often wonder if the recent fading of my signal has anything to do with forcing me to buy into the new technology of HDTV and Digital. Manipulation and Propaganda control? What really whizzed me was the moving of NFL broadcasts to alternate stations not on local channels. I paid for a few Boxing matches on HBO, in the 80's and the fights lasted about 3 minutes, I don't watch too much boxing anymore. News is BS and most of prime time is weak so I watch DVDs and make my choices from home.

Yes they are because they all need to switch to digital and they want you to switch to digital. Just as net connections where dial up was made slower and now dsl works slower than it used to.

nope upgrading to hd which normal tvs don't process correctly
