Sweetie though I am not in the habit of relying on anyone to assist me with anything you definitely need the support of this child's father. It already seems like he is out of the picture, which should not be because you definitely did not lie on top of yourself to get pregnant. You need to get support from your 'partner', firstly and then you can look at options such as community help which may offer food grants and stuff, but don't even consider letting your 'partner' off the hook so easily, he needs to step up and take responsibility just as much as you. Meantime you do your best and whatever you can to ensure your baby is well taken care of. Good Luck!

either child support from daddy, a job, or give the baby up. sorry to put it so bluntly, but if you can't financially handle being a parent then you shouldn't be. welfare shouldn't be given for a lack of morals and standards.
so get a job, make daddy pay

Well, geez, if you can't support a baby then perhaps you should not have gotten pregnant. The best chance your child will probably have at a good life is if you give it up for adoption. Otherwise welcome to welfare, I am so glad my taxes are able to support people too dumb to use birth control.

You need to take the child's father fro child support, also you can apply for WIC,they will provide you w/ nutritious food you should be eating and also formula for your child, also you can try to get food stamps and cash from welfare, but your best bet is to stay in school, get a job and support both you and your child!

Your doctor should be able to advise you where to go, in the UK I think it would be Social Services for monetary support, and they may be able to provide you with a social worker for emotional support.

I am not sure though as I have never been in the same situation as you are in, so I could be totally wrong.

I would definitely make an appointment with your local WIC clinic asap. They give you nutritional counseling to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy. They give you food like cereal, milk, eggs, cheese and peanut butter. They can also give you referrals to other agencies like Medicaid so that you can get the healthcare you need if you can't afford it. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Uhm-if you can't support your child, try cutting expenses. Sell your computer & stop your internet.

Try your baby-daddy for support. Your parents would also be a good choice. Please do not settle in to using the government tit for your child's rearing-you want better than that for your child, I hope.

Once you visit your department of human services they will set you up on Medicaid and they will help you take of everything. They will send a worker out when you have the baby and he/she will help you fill out any necessary forms.

Yeah right, they tell you to get the money from your boyfriend but most of them cant get any money out of thier ex's. Look hon go to the welfare office and apply for assistance, go to WIC and apply. You may not get much help right now from welfare but it will go up when you have the baby (its never gonna be enough).
